Ostmark is a German term meaning either Eastern march when applied to territories or Eastern Mark when applied to currencies.

Ostmark may refer to the following historical territories:

• Austria in historical contexts, so
  • the medieval March of Austria and its predecessors Bavarian eastern march and March of Pannonia in a post-19th century usage, with Ostmark being the German translation of the Latin term marchia orientalis used in the Middle Ages
  • during the Anschluss period, the term was used 1938-1942 to determine the Austrian region within Nazi Germany
• the medieval Saxon Eastern March east of the Elbe River
• the eastern regions of the Prussia acquired in the partitions of Poland, mainly the Province of Posen; Ostmark(en) was used for these regions as a collectiv term during the early 20th century, not to be confused with East Prussia

Ostmark may refer to the following historical currencies:

• East German mark or Mark of the German Democratic Republic, the East German currency before 1990. Ostmark or Mark Ost were in use as an unofficial term to distinguish East German from West German Mark (Westmark, D-Mark)
• the German ostmark was the name of a short-lived currency used in eastern areas occupied by Germany in 1918.
